Astrikas Guest House has 12 modern ensuite rooms, each with private balcony. Rooms are twin bedded or double bedded and all of them have airconditioning. Most rooms have space for a cot, available on request. Each floor has a fridge for guests and breakfasts and snacks can be made in the garden level kitchen. The swimming pool is ideal for family use and has a children's section. You can use the area around the pool to enjoy your breakfast (consisted of our organic products from our own production). The hotel is set in its own grounds including lawns and shady trees. There's plenty of local walks and the hotel is surrounded by beautiful hills with view of more distant mountains. Astrikas village is quiet and welcoming and you will feel you are amongst friends.Location
The Guest House has walks that start from the door and it is very close to two fine gorges, the one at Deliana being easy to walk and which has nesting griffon vultures. There are excursions requiring car transport to many beaches, including the lovely beaches at Kastelli, Falassarna, Drapanias, Ballos and Elafonisi. There is a one day cruise from Kastelli to the turquoise lagoon at Balos Bay. Information on all of these is available to you. Lovers of archaeology will want to visit nearby Roka, the historic town of Polyrhinia or the ancient harbour at Falassarna. Astrikas is close to the Byzantine church at Rotonda, one of only two built in a round, stepped style in all Greece. Also, beching the hotel area, were found ancient tombs which are possible to visit at Chania Archailogical museum. For these trips a rent car can be organised by us to meet you as you enter Crete.The beach is 20 minutes drive away from the hotel
